I'm swapping my '99 cherokee's idiot light instrument cluster to a cluster with gauges. When I did this on my '96 cherokee I had to install a different oil pressure sender and coolant temp sender. I read that on a '99, the same senders are used for either cluster, so I won't have to switch senders.

Can anyone confirm this?

I just swapped the idiot lights for a tach cluster in my 97 and everything works fine.
You don't need to swap any senders on the 97 and up XJ's.

 

Still have the old cluster? I need one, doesn't need to be functional just complete.
