Default 98 xj window problems

What I have is a 98 cherokee 4.0np241 aw4 and with power locks and windows. Ok guys I searched and tried the jumper wire thing with no luck.... so to the problems and what I know and dont.

OK here is the deal the drivers side will work the drivers side....
the drivers rear does nothing
the passenger front switch will roll the window down but not up
the passenger rear switch will the roll the window down but not up....

The little green light is on in the switches

Please help me here as I have two windows halfway down and rain....

Do you guys think the drivers control panel is that screwed up? Or is there another problem?

for the ones that dont go back up either the cable is stripped or the regulator is shot and the rear one needs motor

Had similar problem on my 96, windows would go down very slow and then the passenger window went down and would not go back up again. I thought it was a ground issue since everything would work if I closed the drivers side door 2 or three times. A jeep mechanic friend put the passenger side window up but did not have an open time to look at the XJ. The problem was with the wire harness on the drivers side. Wires broke where the harness bends and enters the bottom of the door. So opening and closing the door would bent the wires and break the slight connection that was still working. This is a common problem, so I would start checking the wires leading to the drivers door switch. I think my mechanic disconnected the passenger side window motor and jumped the wires to put the window back up.

My hunch is that the main switch module on the driver door is bad. If you know how to trace electrical connections using wiring diagram and an ohm meter, you can try that, or go find another switch from a scrap yard and just swap it out.

The driver power/lock window switch module has quality issues. When I took mine apart, I could see a couple cracked solder terminals.

Arrowed connector is C307, and just above right, in the middle, is C306. Disconnect the C306 and you can apply +12 to any of those six window motor leads to move the three windows up or down. You should be able to test it with +12V from C307 tan lead. Test connection is to be made to pins inside a connector half on the floor side.

C306
pin / lead color / window
1 = grey/black = right rear
2 = darkgreen/white = right rear
3 = brown/white = right front
4 = violet/white = right front
5 = darkbrown/white = left rear
6 = red/black = left rear

C307
pin lead color
1 = tan = +12V

So I can take the tan wire that the arrow Is pointed at and make a wire go from it to the pin with the color for each window and it will go up?

I just looked at the wiring diagram and realized not only the +12V but also return needs to be connected at the same time for a window to move. The return can be the body chassis connection. It's actually pin 3, C307, black lead which is coming from a chassis connection. So for example to move the right-rear window, connect +12V to C306-1 (GY/BK) and the return to C306-2 (DG/WT). Then flip the leads to reverse window movement. You can do this to other two window connections.

If you accidently short the +12 from the C307-1, it should open fuse 28, 25amp, located inside the passenger side kick panel.
