Hey guys, first post here.

Let me give you some brief history first. I realized my back up lights weren't working, so I did some reading online about it. I read that you can bypass the neutral safety switch to see if it was the problem. I bypassed the switch, and the jeep hasn't started since. The jeep started and ran perfectly fine before I bypassed the switch.

The starter/starter solenoid is good, brand new battery, and there is a new neutral safety switch in the jeep (I already tried cleaning the old one). However, the jeep will not start. I've tried adjusting the neutral safety switch, and still nothing. I can start the jeep by jumping the terminals on the starter, and it runs fine after I do so. Also, the back up lights work when I throw it into reverse after jumping the starter terminals to get it running.

As of now, I'm stumped. I've been checking grounds and connections with my voltmeter and haven'f found anything out of the ordinary yet. I've also made sure the starter relay is good. Anyone have any idea what could be going on here?

Also, when you say 'it won't start' is it cranking? Does the fuel pump run? Have you tried turning it over in any other slots?

Please don't be under it/ or be parked right near your garage in case it lurches...

Have you investigated the security system? I've heard about guys having their keys not work until they follow a specific protocol...

What about wiping the computer?

Is the NSS adjusted properly?

Also, what about the crank sensor...? I had issue with mine, replaced it, and it worked, even after the disconnect-check...
