'98 XJ, souunds like i'm making coffee when i shut it off

when i shut off the jeep it sounds like i got a coffee maker (or a water bong)if that helps me get an answer in the gas tank.. it's the damndest thing it only does it after i shut it off i can't hear it that good from underneath but from inside its definatly coming from under the cargo area...any ideas??? i'm a very good mechanic but this one got me puzzled

check your canister lines,your gas tank could be getting all the pressure feed back from your canister and that could be good,i would start with that.

dont know if xj have a vented cap or not, could be building pressure or sucking pressure pull of the vent tube and see if it changes
Slight Hi-Jack here...My 2000 4.0 has (since I recently purchased), sounds like a gurgling/draining in the lower engine area after ignition is off...Assuming oil??
