Default 98 XJ Power door locks quit working

Hello, This is my first time posting here...after reading and searching I've heard a lot of good things about this forum and I was hoping for a little help today.

I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport, and everything has worked perfect since I've owned it, and recently the power door locks just stopped working. When I press the button to either lock or unlock, it doesn't matter, it only makes a clicking sound when I press it...that's all. I don't really know where to begin with this as I'm not to mechanically or electrically inclined with vehicles. I did check the fuse and it is good, I even changed it to be sure and it's defintely not the problem. Also, my windows still roll up and down just fine.

I hope someone can help me, I really do appreciate it!

Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the welcomes and both the drivers side and the passenger side door lock buttons do the same clicking noise when pressed.
