Default 98 xj loss of power/clunking noise

Hello, I recently bought a 98 xj and I have realized that sometimes (3-4 times a day maybe) when I am accelerating, I momentarly have complete loss of power around 1800-2000 rpm. The rpms won't raise as I continue to push the gas pedal. then there is usually a clunking sound, around 1-4 clunks, which sound like they're coming from the engine compartment. After the clunks, or if I let off the gas for a second and then try to accelerate again, it will accelerate normally. The jeep has a CEL on for o2 sensor 1 bank 1 short to voltage, although I recently replaced it. the serpentine belt also squeals, and it has a hard time idling sometimes, it will bog down and die if you don't give it gas. I don't know if any of these problems are connected, but any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Pretty simple. You have a code, you threw a sensor at it and it didnt fix it. Deductive reasoning would tell you that if it does the same thing with a new sensor it might be a wiring problem.
I assume you unhooked the battery after changing the oxygen sensor?

The "Clunking" may actually be an intake backfire if you listen closely.

I did disconnect the battery. The code came back twice. I figured it was the wiring just wondering if any one had similar problems. I'll start with cleaning the connectors out.I couldn't see any damage to the wiring or anywhere it had touched the exhaust.

Sorry for the late response. The codes are:
P0132 O2 bank 1 sensor 1 short to voltage
P0135 O2 sensor heater
P0138 O2 bank 2 sensor 2 short to voltage
