98 xj long start
I have a 98 xj that I swapped a 95 motor into it runs great no flaws other them it takes a bit of time for it to start it cranks and cranks then starts after maybe 50 seconds any ideas it has a new fuel pump and runs perfect thanks people

Does it do it all the time or just when it's cold? If only when it's cold or sitting for awhile you possibly have a stuck return check valve. If that is the case next time when it's cold turn the key on so you can hear the fuel pump prime. Do not start it. Do that 2 or 3 times and see if it will start up quicker. If so the check valve is your problem and it is draining the fuel rail while it sits. Give that a try and let us know if it helps or not.

Yeah it just sounds like your fuel isn't sticking around in the rail after sitting. Do as Robert Torrez recommended.

Does it start after you try it and fail? If so try the above.
