98 Sport Upstream o2 sensor wires?
Ok, picked up a 98 sport for $1000 and am slowly working on all the hack work the guy did. Thetes 4 mystery wires that are cut and a 02 sensor who's plug is dangling over my front diff, are these wires for the upstream 0xygen sensor if so would going to a junk yard cutting off the connector and splicing it into the harness affect the ecm.

My preference when doing wiring repairs like this is to stagger wire connection lengths, solder each wire together, shrink tube each, then shrink tube the entire harness. This creates a durable, weatherproof repair. Easily accomplished since you can do all work from above. A simple crimp connection will likely cause problems later.

They do look like the upstream O2S wires. If properly spliced, there shouldn't be any problems. If you are going to butt splice the wires make sure you use a quality crimper and use the weather proof type butt splices (heat shrink built into the butt splice ends).
The wires from the body harness should be:
Wire color/tracer color
Black/Dark Green
Dark Green/White
Black
Brown/Yellow
