Default 98 sport front wipers not working

I'm trying to fix my 98 sport wipers but I don't know where to start. I had an issue with them last year where they completely stopped working and I took it to a mechanic to get it fixed. After they replaced what ever they did when ever I cut the wiper switch off the wipers would stop instantly so I would have to time the cut off when the wipers are in the down position. Also, I only had 3 levels of speed I think and couldn't adjust the fine setting by twisting the end of the ****. Other than those issues I was still able to run the wipers.

A week ago while I was driving with the wipers on the radio would cut on and off and all of the sudden the wipers cut off. They were unresponsive until a few days ago I turned my car on for a minute to test them again and for some reason they worked. When I turned the car back on later that day they wouldn't work again.

What steps should I take to diagnose this problem? I also have issues with my control cluster gauges not working too which has been an issue since I've had this jeep years ago, I'm not sure if the problem is related to or causing my wipers to fail.

I checked the #30 fuse in the passenger side fuse panel which is supposedly the wiper fuse and it is still good.

Try unplugging wiper motor and checking for power with a test light, with the switch on. Possibly just a bad wiper motor.

bad wiper motor.. or bad wiper delay module.. its under the dash.. just past the lip.. left side of the steering column.. velcro'd to the dash

I had some issued with my wipers running slow.. not intermittent.. replaced that and now all is well!

Ground issue or feed is flaky from the ignition switch.

So you don't think this is an issue with the wiper motor or control switch?

How would I go about fixing the ground wire, and where is it's location?

Thanks

Problem solved, it was the motor that was causing the problem. Replaced that now everything is working.

You replaced the wiper motor and that fixed the issue with the radio?
