I've worked on this thing a lot but this one has me stumped. I just put a new tps on and it was doin better than ever , but I washed out the engine compartment and now its idling high. The trans doesn't want to shift until 4500 rpms or higher and is impossible to get past 2nd gear. I've never had trans trouble in this ole thing. Anyone please help!

 

Unplug connections, let them dry out, try again later. Might want to test your new TPS with a multimeter to verify that it still works.

 

Thanks man. I tried all that and finally just took it to advance. The tps was fried and they just replaced it. The thing was sealed right or something when it was molded. Ole girl is purring like a kitten now.

 

It's not waterproof, don't get it wet again and it should be fine.

 

And don't feed it after midnight...
