Hello new guy here! I don't own a jeep yet, but I am looking at a really cheap 98 Cherokee 4x4 4.0 with an automatic. It is missing the transfer case. My question is my buddy happens to have a old 79 blazer any chance the transfer case being the same? Thanks in advance for any help!

 

well according to wikipedia in '79 the blazer only came with either the np205 or 203...neither of which were offered in the cherokee.

 

Blazer is a pass side drop and the Jeep is driver side so nope.

 

Oh well it was worth a shot...thanks for the help guys!
