Can someone tell me what all engines will fit right into this truck? 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport has a 4.0 in it now which has a blown apart piston lol so I have to find another to go in it but not sure what all years and such will fit Thanks in advance!

 

Interesting question, I think the blocks are the same but I don't know, the heads on 2000 and 2001 are different because of the coil packs they use, also evidently they tend to crack. If you get a newer engine you may want to reuse your head if it is salvageable.

Yes he is, I just had him on the creeper rolling him around under the Jeep. He says he fixed it.
