he bought a new cap and rotor button and they don't fit like the oem part. the oem button you have to push down and the new on just kinda slides in. and the oem cap fits tight and the new one you can jiggle around.

Neutral Safety Switch related to signaling left and triggering hazards
I have this same problem with my 98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L. I have problems with my Neutral safety switch sticking. Due to the fact that the little sensor costs $300 to replace I took mine apart, cleaned it and replaced. For some reason once it was working properly again my hazards did not come on when signaling left. Eight months later I was having the same Neutral Safety Switch problem, sticking and not starting in Park or Neutral, it needs replacement. With a little jiggle of the shifter I am able to get a start. But now I am getting the hazard problem again. Call me crazy but maybe its a safety warning. I also had a problem with the tail signals not coming on. I removed the the signal manifold removed the signal box dismantled cleaned and replaced (I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING THIS, MANY SPRINGS AND SMALL COPPER PARTS, ANALOG SWITCH) After my tail lights worked again. This might also be the culprit, I was amazed on how much corrosion was built up in both sensor/switches.
I'm pretty sure my jeep has a electrical virus!
I am not a professional this is just my experience.
