I was told in another thread that the 98 console would fit in a 94 with a 5 spd manual tranny.

I'm starting to think that this is not the case. I cannot find the bezel piece to fit in place of the manual shift selector to secure the shift boot anywhere on the internet. I've been looking everywhere I could think of.

Can anyone help me with finding the bezel or confirm that I need to get a 98+ console out of a 5spd XJ?

 

...you know you are going to need to move your e-brake lever over correct?

Also, the consoles (auto vs. manual) are the same, its just the boot/bezel that is different on them. Finally, (and technically) any 97+ (not 98+) console/boot will work for you... just in case you unnecessarily pass on a 97...

As for where to find one... I suggest the junk yard.

 

I already have the console in my car. The ebrake is another issue because I still need to connect the cable to my 98+ lever that I got as well...

But where the **** can I buy the bezel or boot for a manual? JY isn't a great option because there aren't many near me, nor do the ones I've visited have 5spd XJ's
