98 4.0 auto loss of power
My jeep starts and idles ok, but after I drive down the road for about 1 min I have loss of power, bucking and it just doesn't seem like it is getting enough fuel. After it goes thru this cycle for a short period of time it staightens out and runs fine. At first this problem was only happening a couple of times a week, but lately it is getting much worse. It only seems to do this on the first start of the day. Any help would be deeply appreciated!! Thanks!

Fuel Pump is starting to go bad. Change it before it completely craps. It will leave your Jeep DEAD along side the road. These are the warning signs. Do it now.

You can connect a hand held 0-60 PSI pressure guage to the test port on your fuel injection rail. It should read 49.2 +- 5 PSI. Anything under your fuel pump is bad. Anything over and your fuel pressure regulator is probably bad. Your symptoms sound like it is starving for fuel IMHO.
