I have a 00 cherokee I removed the fuel pump on. When doing so the metal fuel line from the fuel filter/regulator came out. There was also a rubbery/foam gasket? under the regulator as well.

1) how do I remove the regulator off the top of the pump so I can replace it?
2) Do i need that foam piece? I don't see it as a separate item anywhere.
