randomly upon starting while hot it will run ruff for a bit until i rev it up

and the exhaust will smell strong,
recently its doing it everytime i start it warm when offroad,
twice now it has failed to start , i hear the fuel pump prime i kept trying and waiting till it starts,
i tried to check spark but then it started again, also the airbag lights comes on after hitting bumps wheeling till i restart,
when it wouldn't start at all , then it does i loose the radio settings .
i never unhooked the batterie, also one time the radio and dash lights didnt work till the next day, no check engine light

Does your CHECK ENGINE bulb work when you turn the ignition switch to ON/RUN, before cranking the engine?

 

yes the lights good and it always runs normal from a cold start i thought cps but the radio losing power, i would like to get rid of the neutral safety also if i can i did on my old blazer , and it came in handy , like it dying while on a hill climb

 

i died again while i was driving and there was no spark.
tested with timing light i unhooked the batterie for 20 min then it started , its running a bit rough now till you start driving it
if i plug in another 97 cpu will it not work because the milage is different, i also dont know how to unplug the cpu, it feels like it may break,
the wires going under the connectors wiggle back and forth real easy like a inch

 

so the jeep hasnt been doing the ruff running after warm start up or cold start up , it fixed itself,
instead it is dieng more often and has no spark
it is the cpu it feels very hot and every wire under the hood gets hot, i put a ice pack or pour water on it and it starts back up
