Well, the computer need to be changed but that is not the issue I am asking about. The fuel pump fuse under the hood blew and the guy that owns it just put like a jumper wire in it. Well he melted the fuse box and the jeep shut off. Now, he wants to sell it to me for real cheap. I am wondering what I need to do. I need the computer and a fuel pump I would assume then the fuse box and follow all the wiring for the fuel pump to make sure it is ok. Your opinions would be great.

 

wow that's not good, i think you answered your own question tho.
i would replace the box and check all the wiring or it will melt down again.
but first you need to fined out why the fuse blew in the first place.

 

I have a buddy with a newer jeep like this one and he said his fuel pump is messing up and the power spikes to it and blows the fuse. So I was going to assume that it is the pump.

 

anyone with any extra advice or input before I purchase.
