Default 97 Jeep Cherokee

Hey, I am new to the whole Cherokee thing and got a killer deal on a 97 Cherokee. Unfortunately I don't have a hitch on it and need one. My buddy is parting out his 90 Cherokee and it has a hitch so I was wondering if that would fit on mine or if there is any other cheap options. Also, how hard is the wiring for a hitch in the newest model Cherokees.

Thanks,

hitch will fit. grab the hitch nut strips that are slid into the frame rail as well.

wiring...go to advance auto, order a wiring kit. it plugs in, you can't screw it up, and it's necessary in order to do it right. order the kit for your jeep model and year.

it's necessary because there are resistors in it that prevent quick flashing with a trailer hooked up.

So, how hard is the installation of the hitch? Just wondering because I am somewhat limited on tools...
