Default 97 cherokee engine bogging. Manual trans

K i have a 97 cherokee sport manual trans and inline 6 engine

The last couple days every once in a while when i go to leave from say a red light, i press down on the gas and the jeep will act like im barely pressing the gas, usually only moving as fast as walking speed. And sometimes itll speed up a little bit but sometime itll bog down alot. It doesnt matter how far down i have the throttle it acts the same at 15% or 100%, it RPMs slowly raise up, usually once they get to about three grand the engine starts sounding like its supposed to. Also doesnt matter what gear im in, although it works a bit fast when i put in second gear.

The other day i took it to the shop and they replaced a tsp or tps censor. They couldnt find anything other than some engine ticking.

Can somebody please help me

When i say sounds like the engine is supposed to, i mean the engine stops reving up, goes to normal rpms the tires usually chrip a bit because the rpms were initally up the 3k. After that happens everything seems to be fine.

Sounds like when my map sensor started to go. It was sending wrong info to the computer. Dumping fuel in. Which made it bog down and not run worth crap. But at a point, higher rpms but can't remember exactly when, it would run fine. Actually ran really good. But only at higher rpms. Which led my to thing it was dumping fuel in and when the engine was able to burn it all it ran fine. Check it out. I replaced mine with a used one. Works fine now. My 2 cents.

Catalytic converter, lol. But Give your throttle body a good cleaning along with your IAC valve. always a good place to start.

maybe its a faulty Crank Angle Position Sensor? Never dealt with this symptom before. No other faults we're shown from the ECU scan? If it was sensor related, the ECU would tell you. That's about all that dummy light is good for.
