I have 97' Cherokee XJ and I am looking for what the stock alternator is in this version, and then also if anyone has tried to put a double din stereo in a single din console.

Mine's a 97 and it came with a 90A alternator. When it failed I replaced it with a reman unit that claimed 100A. I don't think it really make a lot of difference beyond actually working
Double DIN is possible but you lose the centre dash vents. I haven't done it myself but there are write-ups out there.
