96 vs 98 idle Smoothness

Anything is possible from a plug wire shorting up to lack of compression in one cylinder.
I'd start with disconnecting one spark plug wire at a time and see if one of them doesn't make a difference.
You might be able to isolate the fault to one cylinder, or you might have a problem that affects the whole engine like a vacuum leak or a dirty IAC.

The IAC, front O2, plugs and wires are 1 year old. The stumble I'm experiencing isn't the dramatic misfire a bad plug would cause. I'm trying to get the 98 to idle as smoothly as the 96, which might be impossible.
