I will be driving and when it gets to operating temp it will hesitate really bad and cut off. If I let it sit for 5min it runs good until back to operating temp. It will run great for a week and then randomly it will start doing it again

One of the most common sensor fails on the 4.0 is the crankshaft position sensor. They can fail intermittently and give symptoms that you mention. They are subject to "thermal failure" (heat related).

Another possibility of hardware that can thermally fail is the ignition coil, but the crank sensor fails more frequently.

If you test the crank sensor, unless you test it when the engine doesn't start, it might test within spec, but testing is never a bad idea. Coil can be tested for both primary and secondary resistance with a meter and a manual.
