Default 96 HO idle problems

HELP! My 96 starts then revs up to about 1500rpms, stays there for a while then drops and almost stalls, if I give it some throttle it Miss' then evens out. When I put it in reverse it seems to be fine but then when in foward it seems to be missing. If I punch the accelerator it hesitates then grabs and seems to be fine but not too long before it acts up again. Seems to happen more during cold, wet days! Any help!

Sounds like what I had when my Throttle Position Sensor went bad, it's simple to replace, it's right on the throttle body
