i just bought my first jeep... a 96 cherokee with 226,000 miles. there was a tremendous knocking sound coming from the back of the engine, i thought for sure bad engine. looked up this site and read a post recommending tightening torque conv bolts, sure enough they were barely finger tight .tightened them and now it is quiet as a church mouse. thanks for a great money saving tip! by the way i only paid 300.00 dollars for it, a great deal huh!
