'96 cherokee need shocks recommendation
I try to buy parts myself to save money, and discovered there are about a zillion types of shocks that fit my cherokee sport...what would you recommend, practical for daily highway commute but suitable for off highway, sometimes pretty rough stuff but not exactly rock-crawling. I don't have a lift kit but maybe someday...

I did Bilsteins a couple thousand miles ago. I like the way they handle. A bit on the pricey side at 230 for 4 from Summit racing. Thats the cheapest I could find them.

I like my Monroe Sensa-Tracs. Good for daily driving, not too stiff, better than 15 year old factory busted shocks for sure. There is a $40 factory rebate if you buy 4 right now. Advance Auto has them for decent.

I am looking at less expensive for now, likely I will put a lift kit on in a year or so. Thanks for the heads-up on the Monroe rebate, I was looking at those. Are they good for a little rough-roading?

You can get 4 new shocks delivered free for a total of $125.96 and then get a $40 mail in rebate off of that! That's what I did. Less than $100 for some good everyday shocks. If you want to upgrade after your lift it won't hurt your pocketbook so bad.
