Will 97-01 fenders and grill bolt up to a 96 xj I want the more modern style I hate the big orange corner lights.

those big orange corner lights are connected to the headlight bezels on the front clip, not the fenders. I've heard of people installing the front clip from a late model xj, but from what I hear its a lot of work (things don't line up quite the way you need them to, so some cutting and drilling is required) and really expensive. You might get lucky and find the parts you need at a junk yard but I never find a late model xj with all of its front end components (they are really popular parts). good luck

If you wanna get rid of those big orange corner lights, you'll need some fabrication to get it done...

I have seen some XJs on here that have put clear corner light covers on with orange bulbs and it looks pretty good.
