Just bought my son his first jeep. It's a all stock 96 cherokee country with 79K. One problem is the pasenger side door will not open. I could use a little help on the best way to get the door apart to see whats going on.

 

if my door wouldnt open then i personally would kick the crap out of the door till it opens......, or pull the door panel off, and try wiggling/moving around lock and door hinge metal things (metal rods that operate door locks and such, cant remember what theyre called right now for some reason) never had to open a door without the handle, so i could be telling you to go about it in a more difficult way, but thats where i would start

 

Maybe if you start to disassembling the door handle on the inside and see if it's a broken rod. Wish I could be of more help. But that's where I'd start.

 

i just had the same problem with a lady from my churchs Buick.I took a slim jim and unlocked it.The lock was sticking so it wouldn't open.Might be the problem?
