95 xj no power help
I got a 95 xj. battery seams to keep dying. sometimes withing minutes of having turned off the engine. battery is good. nothing is left on. I'm running out of ideas. battery drops to 9.3 voltage. any idea what's draining it?

Absolutely sure nothing is being left on, like an amplifier, radio, dome lights, etc? If not, then I'd have to take a guess of something shorting somewhere, or the battery is bad. How did you test it to know it's good? A load test is the best way, if I'm not mistaken

What happens if you take the negative cable off immediately after shutting down? Does the battery voltage still drop?
If something is drawing your voltage down that low "within minutes", there'd be heat somewhere. That's a lot of current, probably equivalent to the starter cranking.
A lesser draw pulling the voltage down that far indicates a failed battery.
At any rate, if you are certain the battery is good, pull ALL your fuses while watching current flow from the battery with an ammeter. Replace fuses one by one until you see current draw spike up. Investigate that circuit.

spent some time today and checked everything out . turns out battery is fine . put it on the charger, no problems with it. used it in my other car as well. battery is a champ. wondering if it was pushing against ac wires causing a ground? disconnected it so lets see how this goes.
