Default 95 XJ key stuck in ignition

Hey all, I'm thinking of buying an XJ but the key is stuck in the ignition...if it was a trail ride, I wouldn't mind, but it's going to be driven around town and I don't want to give anyone a free jeep. Let me know if there is something you know, have experienced, etc.
Thanks
Tom

Happened to me last year. Had to pull the steering wheel and switch out the lock. Except it happened to me in the emissions bay and it wouldn't turn to start either. >< until then you can always take the coil plug to your distributer. Lol

Have them replace the ignition. Or you could continue your search, be patient you'll find one that's right for you.

Some car, maybe it was a Toyota, if you had the key, removing the lock was just a matter of pushing in a pin at the right spot. (key on, depress pin, extract lock/cylinder).
Guess if the key was broken off nobody would see that you could just turn it!

Spray some lube in there, silicone would be good. Maybe get it to free up.

I found this for 97
