Default 95 jeep xj project '' cheap jeep''

hi, im new to the forum and i have a ton of questions. first off ihave a 95 jeep cherokee 2 door that is 2 wheel drive. my plans are to make it 4x4 i have all the parts to do it. listed are; front dana 30, rear dana 35 with 4.10 gears, ax15 matched to np231j, 4.0 ho. my question is will the swap work on my rig?? the ax15 is from a 89 yj, just rebuilt with 800 miles.

has no one has ever done this?? its seems to be a straight bolt on.

ok lets start at the beginnig... does the ax15 bolt to the 4.0 ?? yes does the 231 bolt to the ax15v?? yes. next was this ever put into a cherokee?? yes Is your current xj manual or auto ?? if auto do you have the hydrolics for the clutch ?? if so then your set you may need a cross member for this set up but you should be good. Check everything before you install it !!!!

Default bolt up?

so all ax15's will bolt up to any year 4.0. an 4.0 ho??? i heard the pilot shaft is bigger years after 91. is this true?

hey thanks for the input zjrog, incase u didnt know, i did do a full search on the ax 15 an came up empty handed. ur help is very much appreciated as for my build, ur help hasnt..... well helped. im pretty knowledgable when it comes to any vehicle. i simply understood that the input shafts where different amongst the years. thanx
