Default 95 a Good Parts Jeep 4 my 90?

Found a wrecked 95 for really cheap & considering buying it for parts.
Has same motor/transmission as my 90 (4.0) & I'm guessing same tc & rear.

Any reason not to go with it?
Has about 80,000 less miles than mine.
Also would I be able to swap the open cooling system to mine?

87-90 Renix, 91 up is HO. Lots of parts still interchange... Heads are different, intakes are different, none of the sensors interchange, but all the rest is. Lots of stuff stayed the same from 84-96...

ABSOLUTELY! Go nuts man. Before you swap radiators, check the condition of the 95s first. I tried looking for a replacement for my '92 from the junkyards, but every one had issues. Look for any "green" areas on the radiator. You can use the other coolant doo-dads though.

I had been using '95 XJ parts for my '84 for a while now. The local junkyard had a $40 for any cartload of stuff last October. I grabbed parts off of ALL the years up to '96.

Seriously.. Grab everything then sell the carcass to a local metal place for $150. Catalytic converters can be sold on eBay for a bit of cash too. All other parts can be eBayed for quick $$ also.

Grab: Light Lenses, Windows (the rear ones pop out), rear wiper motors, front wiper motor assemblies, fuses, bulbs, handles, hoses, wire, plugs, connectors, relays, any trim pieces, gas cap etc.

Since yours isnt an original HO, maybe look into the HO-NON HO swap?

Well.... Here is you situation.... you will have to use the tranny and transfer case out of one or the other.. The tranny output and T-case input changed in 1992.

Thanks for the info so far!

Is the Renix to HO conversion hard to do?
I have tried search but my search-fu must be weak.
