Hello I am new to this forum. I searched and searched for an answer but could not find any. I have a 1995 xj with a 4.0 engine with a misfire at or near 3000 rpm and it will not rev past 3500 rpm even if i give it full throttle. I have replaced the catalytic converter, cat back exhaust, spark plugs, cable, cap, rotor, ignition coil and the distributor was recently replaced according to the previous owner. I also replaces the air filter and the coolant temperature sensor and the fuel filter. I have ran out of ideas and was wondering if anybody had this problem before. It drives me nuts that the car idles fine and starts fine and even idles fine all the way up to 3000 rpm. And the computer is not giving any codes and no check engine light is given. I need to get through smog and this misfire is killing me. help anybody please.
