I believe you have the same problem as me, it is called a Neutral Safety Switch, which controls the back up lights, and it's cheaper to leave it alone and just wiggle the shifter until the lights come on, otherwise for a new one plan on spending $220 or so

no kidding? I haven't had it checked out. you got the wriggling the shifter part right. the reverse lamps did light up, but just rarely. I'd be wary of breaking the shifter off, though!

here's to backing up with no cops around!

I checked the wiring at the motor. No power at all. Tracing wires later today. I can't find what fuse is for it.

To correct the fuse list, 17 is for defroster. 18 is for cluster guage. Just thought anyone should know before plugging the wrong amp fuse in the wrong slot!

Look for a spot marked ACC, PWR ACC or IGN and check to see if it has power with the ignition off or on.

Default cant make my blinkers work

I have a 95 Cherokee. And my blinkers or hazards do not work. Where do I look?? I've checked both fuse panels and can't find anything that would be linked to those working again.
