My 95 Cherokee has a vibration problem between 55 and 65 mph. It doesn't feel like a wheel balance problem. Can bad engine or transmission mounts cause this?

 

bad tire bent drive shaft could be many things more info is needed about you xj lift recent mods

 

Until you have the wheels balanced, I wouldn't rule them out.

 

being a mechanic i can guess all day... simple things to look at:u-joints (all of them including front axle joints), i have had transfer case bearings go and cause bad vibs,also look for separations in tire treads, just a few quick guesses

 

I had the axle joints replaced and the transfer case rebuilt. The jeep feels like it needs to downshift to a lower gear when I feel this vibration.
