Default 95 4.0 5 speed falls on face when floored

I have a 95 xj 5 speed. 99k miles

I've done plugs wires cap and rotor.

It runs pretty good if you don't give it more then 3/4 throttle. If you go WOT it falls flat on its face.

No codes. I checked tps voltage and idle tb closed I'm getting .77v and WOT 3.98v

Its just weird because there is no check engine light. Just wanted to make sure I was going about this right before I shell out money for a new TPS sensor.

This is what all data says about TPS voltages.

Thanks,
Phil

Well it wasn't the tps. not sure why the voltages were off but a new one did no good.

Fuel pressure is only around 30 at idle. should be around 49+/-5 psi at idle according to spec I'm willing to bet that's the probablem. Looks like mine is one of the 96's that had the regulator in/on top of the tank. I'm gonna check before the fuel filter and see if its any higher. Then go about droppping the tank

fuel pump. at idle it should be 40 at least. and you dont need to drop the tank for that. mine did the same exact thing. fuel pump fixed it.

Fuel filter was pretty gunked up but still didn't improve pressure. in fact pressure might be lower as there is less restriction and more flow.
I know some vehicles have an access plate.. just never owned one that did.

I'll pull it out this weekend and check it out. its just over 30 at idle and even less cranking. I have the in tank/on tank regulator. How does that work is it still vacuum operated? or is it electronic? I just want to make sure I check that out too.

it doesn't have an access plate, the pump is accessible from underneath, it is on the front side of the tank

Regulator, pump, and filter are all the same assembly in the tank.

Don't buy an Airtex

Ok I'm having close to the same problem. I hook my scanner up and the long term fuel trim stays at 32% all the time. Does anyone know what it's suppose to be because that seems a lil high to me.

I believe 32% is the max the ecu can add. What is your Stft?

Any idea where I can get the 2 threaded rods that hold the gas tank up?
