Default 94 Jeep Cherokee stalls while driving

i have a automatic 94 jeep cherokee laredo 4.0 engine, when im driving for a while it starts to hesitate and then it just shuts off. The power stays on but the engine goes silent and then i have to turn the key over and over again for it to start back up but even then sometimes it wont turn back on, my uncle just replaced the ignition coil and it still stalled after he drove it with the new ignition coil, what else could it be?

Its either your crankshaft position sensor or your throttle position sensor. I had the same problem with my 93 5 speed. Changed the cps and never had a problem after that.

My '99 cherokee sport is doing the same damn thing. A year ago, I replaced everything from the distributor through the spark plugs. My Jeep will drive fine, and with no warning whatsoever, the engine cuts out. After tests, there is no spark from the ignition coil. I just replaced the coil, and the problem persists. If you find your fix, you should let me know. Oh, but it only seems to do it once the engine is up to temp. once it cools down, I have spark form the coil. But, when it's warm again, the damn thing shuts off.

I would check the control module and or the pick up coil in the distributer. A control module would be my first choice, generally when they get hot the shut down and when the cool off you will get spark again.

A failed crankshaft position sensor can cause no-spark condition. They can be thermally intermittent, also.
