94 diff in an 88
i have an 88 cherokee and im swapping out the axles for the 8.25 and the dana 30 case is not rotted but the 94 dana 30 is rotted to hell the 88 has the axle disconnect and the 94 dosent have it would the diff from the 94 fit in the 88 front end

You cannot just swap the inner carrier with the ring gear. You would need a gear setup done again.
Either keep looking for a non CAD dana30 with matching gear ratio to the 8.25.. or invest in a posi-lock to operate the dana30 manually.
Oh yeaqh, you can also convert the cad axle to a solid axle on pass side. Details can be found in tech section.

axle swap
the reason the disconet is there is better gas mileage so you ar not turning the whole front end when not in 4wheel drive if you dont care about that and if both are high pinion it will work the carriers are not the same with the years so far apart i bel
