Hey guys, i have a 94 cherokee and ive had it for about 3 weeks now. My radio is aftermarket but for some reason it makes up its own mind for when it wants to turn on. When i connect the headunit ignition turn on wire up to the constant 12 volt, it turns right on, soon as i put it back to the ignition turn on wire, it decides not to work, along with the ciggarette lighter. Ive checked all of the possible fuses down under the driver side dash. It works only sometimes, its quite annoying. Im not sure where the ignition turn on goes but im thinking it could be lose? Anybody know anything about this issue? Thank you

 

I'd check the wiring on the music box. It should have one power wire for constant 12V connection (so you don't have to reset stations), and another one to ignition powered 12V. No idea why your cig lighter is affected.. unless you're using the power to it for the radio. Intermittant working/not working does sound like a connection problem.. a blown fuse would not allow it to work at all.
