Just bought my 94 Cherokee Sport and I've noticed a trans issue. Has an automatic and going up thru the gears is fine, but when you come to a complete stop(like at a stop sign) its seems like you have to wait on it to shift back down to first if that makes sense. Any ideas ???

If the fluid level is correct (ATF) you can try adjusting the kick down cable: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/free-quick-fix-41821/

and then test the solenoids for resistance (12-18 ohms), possibly the vehicle speed sensor on the tailshaft of the trans
