This light keeps flashing telling me to "service 4WD switch", is this the Transfer Case Switch? If so, please let me know. Thanks

I found that the previous owner of my jeep plugged in an extra wire on the VIC while chaging the radio and it was causing the "Service 4WD Switch" to display when in low gear. There is two plugs on the back of the VIC and plugging one or the other or both in causes the display to change to 4WD/N/PART TIME. I unplugged the black and red wire and everything works fine and displays properly. The VIC is designed to work with all models regardless of all time or part time 4WD. The wiring tells it what vehicle its in. Check the 2 connectors a few inches from the VIC on the same harness.
