Hi y'all! I knew here I have a 93 XJ sport 4.0 high output 4x4 and when we turn the key it will not crank but we do have power to everything inside and the fans in the engine. We have replaced the neutral safety switch, ignition switch in the column, and the ignition tumbler the one where the key goes into, and a few broken plastic pieces we found inside the column when we took it apart as well as relays.
We did test the trigger wire to the starter it seems to have no power to the starter from that wire. But the engine will start if you jump the starter. Can anyone please give me some advice and where to go from here?

If you have the wiring diagrams for reference (check cruiser54.com for lots of tips and tech manuals), I'd start by testing at the starter relay and see if that's got power and is being triggered. Check at the NSS connector to verify it has power and is connecting the wire for the starter in park and neutral. Or just jumper it and see if she cranks.

You will need to jump the wires from the neutral safety switch, there is a three wire plug on the firewall close to the auto dipstick, with a paperclip or cotter pin bridge the two wires and reconnect the plug, this will identify if the NSS is the issue, I can get you more details tomorrow. On one of my jeeps I have to wriggle the gear shift to get it to start, I took the nss switch off the trans and hid a horn button under the dash that i now have to push to start, I have not removed the key from the ignition or two years LOL!
