You can order them from the stealership or locate some online. The access code for programming the key fob is located inside the housing.

i hate those things..... every jeep i've owned that had that R2-D2 bulp (3 of them) i never had a keyfab and the person that i bought it from never had them, just another jeep convenience to get ahold of keyless entry i guess

I had never seen anything on the roof except the remote sensor or a full overhead console. So I started browsing through my pics to find one of the sensor in my 91. No luck, but I actually have a pic of the digital clock in my 89. Never knew it was there because I bought it, towed it to a friends house, and that is where it has sat for the last 4 months.

If it's even a clock. When I get back home this weekend I will go check it to see what exactly it is. Like I said the 89 has sat over at a friends since I bought it. The only time it has been started was to make sure it would run before I paid for it, to drive it up on the trailer and back off. Whatever it is will be ripped out anyway because that pile off dung it getting gutted to be a trail only rig.

Ya I was stumped on what the dark orb sitting between my visors was until I asked a couple friends + my dad what they thought it was... assumed it was a keyless entry device so I removed it and mounted my cb there. The cb mounting bracket screws perfectly into the leftover holes =)

My 1990 Laredo has a compass and an outside ambient temp gauge in that position on the roof right up front. Directly behind it is a container for a garage door opener, and a sunglasses holder is behind that. Makes a big console looking thing.

The clock is on the dash.

I can post pics if you really wanted to see it... it's far from overwhelming though
