Default 93 grand cherokee running rough

I have a 93 Grand Cherokee. When I drive it, it will be running fine then all of the sudden it will spit and sputter for a brief second, then it will take off again. When I come to a stop it will want to rev to a higher RPM and then back down to normal, this happens whenever, whether the engine is hot or cold. The fuel pump went out on it last winter and it has a new one in it, also has a new fuel filter in it. Tried to see if it would do it more when the fuel tank it empty, and when it is full. Does not make a difference. Can anyone tell me what would be causing this.

Thank you,
kwdaye

Sounds dumb but if your buying from some no name gas station try shell or wawa. *idk if you have wawa's where you live i forgot to check location* I was running some cheepo gas from a gas station up the street and i was spitting and sputtering rough idle occasionally even a higher idle so i went and got some wawa gas. Never did it again. Shell gas actually improved my gas mileage it seems by 1. 20mpg if im feeling calm on the skinny pedal.
