Default 93' gauge swap with strange behavior

So I picked up a 93' base with dummy lights. I bought the two sensors for oil and water and ordered a used cluster off eBay, it didn't work, so they sent me another one. I install it and everything seems fine until I turn on the dash lights... right blinker light stayed on solid, oil pressure and bolt meter dropped to 0. Turns out to be a torn copper trace on the back of the cluster, so I put the second set of gauges into the first housing and now my readings are different.
oil pressure is about 10-15 psi higher, volts jumped from 12 to 14 and coolant is reading right at the red line, I heard the fan click on and then off (A/C off) after my last test drive.
so now I don't trust my gauges. I know I can verify with a manual oil pressure gauge is there a way to verify water temp? Should I just grab another cluster?
Many advice is appreciated
thanks
