Switch your key from On, off, on, off, on (don't start) and it'll show your codes. Code 12 will show if you have reset your ECU in the past 50 warm up cycles, code 55 is just to inform you that that is the end of code display.

To show them, as in to show them blinking, is what I meant.

So, Can anybody tell me...

If I take the wire coming out of the coil, I get spark. But If I test the spark plugs, there is no spark.

If the CKP is going out would The coil even be firing? I even installed a new cap and rotor and wires.

If your coil wire is "sparking" then I don't know why your spark plugs wouldn't be, the spark comes in through the center electrode and is distributed to the correct spark plug wire through the rotor. I could be wrong, and I often am, but i would make sure that the distributor is actually turning and that the rotor is installed correctly and the cap is installed correctly. Good luck. Coach

That's what has me so baffled. I have checked and double checked the cap and rotor. I even replaced them, and the wires.

I have also verified that the distributor is turning.

Could the timing possibly have slipped far enough that the coil is firing at the wrong time?

But really, since it has a cam position sensor is that even possible? Unless the distributor jumped a couple teeth?

Dammit I am getting mad.

im pretty sure the cam sensor sends the ecm the signal to pulse the injectors
if you remove the cap and crank it does the distrib. rotate, if so check timing by bringing cyl. #1 up to tdc and rotor on distrib. pointing to #1 on cap

Swapped out the coil for a new one and it fired right up.

But... Now it ran fine for about a half hour, then it started running like ****. The Check engine light came on, and it says a code 24 for the TPS. Ughh.
