Tranmission revs longer than it should before it shifts in to gear. a couple people told me it could be a selonoid.... any suggestions on what it sounds like, also when the jeep is cold... as i first take off it seems to jerk and wanna stall out, few days ago it stalled out as proceeded after a redlight, the problem seems to go away after the jeep gets to normal running temp. any suggestions/advice would be great

 

turned out to be throttle positioner sensor

 

i was doing some searching on here because my 92's tranny has been acting up. basically anytime i come to a complete stop and then push the gas to go, it revs up doesnt go then after like 5-10 seconds it goes weather in drive or reverse...is that what yours did and how much was it to fix that issue and how did you come to that conclusion?

If you have this problem in R as well as the forward gears, it sounds like an internal problem, and not electrical.
