92 jeep cherokee problem
Hey, I have a 92 Jeep Cherokee XJ, inline 6 4.0. recently i had an issue where it was driving rough (kind of spitting and studdering) and sometimes not starting, so i replaced the plugs, distributor cap, and rotor. I figured it just needed a tune up, the wires looked fairly new, along with the coil. I went to drive it, it started up, drove even worse. I took it to my local oriellys and had the check engine light scanned and it was the throttle position sensor. Replaced it and it ran great for the rest of the night. The next day i went to drive it and it started, however it then stalled instantly, i tried to start again and now all it will do is crank and crank. I get a very strong fuel smell. Any ideas? i have let it sit for awhile and tried starting it assuming it was just flooded, still just cranks and smells like fuel.
the past time ive had the cps go out in my wrangler, it was more of a intermitten dying, but it very well could be, do you know if there is a way to test the cps thats in there now?
