92 cherokee sport clutch problem

Default 92 cherokee sport clutch problem

my 92 jeeps clutch does not want to disengage it was having problems going in to 1,2, and 4 so i had to drive it home in 3rd and 5th and now it wont disengage at all i cant stop or it dies. Any ideas?

Probably not much to go wrong there.. Does it have hydraulics for the clutch? Master or slave cylinder worn out, low on fluid, or needs bled? That's where i'd look.

i just bought a clutch plate, puressure plate, trough out baring, and the slave cylinder

You should be all set then.. let us know how it goes

One quick tip tho.. you'll save a ton of time and trouble if you buy the clutch centering tool. It's a cheap plastic tool that looks like the tranny shaft.

I bought that to it came with the kit. the kit cost me 280 but its worth getting my jeep back in the mud and on the road lol

I did it but i still have the problem so im doing my 2x4 to 4x4 conversion cuz i think its the tranny so look at my other post
