I just busted out my trusty leatherman and cut it out, I cut it smaller than it needed to be so the little tabs on the switch would actually hold it in there. I did the same thing for my front lights too beside the rear defrost.Originally Posted by bmapes

I am looking at purchasing some off road lights for my jeep, and i have been thinking about mounting them on the stock roof rail rack, how would you recommend wiring the lights into the cab?? If they can't be mounted on the roof, I am thinking about on the front bumper....Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
BAJA lights at $20 per pair at Walmart. Remove the ds rail going from front to back. Drill a hole through the roof where the rail will cover it to run your wire through. Then silicone the hole, and remount rail. Put a 2x4 under the rack so you dont overdrill into your roof. Drill your holes and mount lights. Run power wire down the window trim into a switch then into the fuse block. Upgrade the swith cuz the 1 that comes with it is real cheap. Run your ground wire to the screw that holds the rail to the roof. Put on some wire loom and zipties and your good to go.Originally Posted by bmapes

Detour Offroad has a light bar that mounts to the stock bumper. It looks great once it's installed. Hint: Mount your lights first before installing the bar. There's little room for a wrench once it's mounted.Originally Posted by ChiliPepperXJ98

This is a 4 year old thread and Chili hasn't posted anywhere since last August.
